September 3rd, 2015: Our season is just getting wrapped up here at Bolton Lake! We have one group left at Aswap Lake and then a few hunters coming in later in the month to go after big Bull Moose and possibly a bear or two! We will shutter the lodge for the winter in early October and we might make a trip in this winter to bring in a few supplies and do a bit of ice fishing.
It’s been pretty warm throughout August and I remember years ago at the old lodge having a snowball fight on September 2nd whereas this year we started and finished the day in shorts and T-shirts. Hopefully things will cool down for the Moose hunt! We spent most of August building a new staff cabin as the old one was in pretty rough shape. I surprised myself by doing all the electrical myself and after hooking it up, everything worked as it should! I’m half way through the plumbing but now we’re waiting on parts and supplies before I can go any further.
2016 is already booking up quickly and we have a waiting list for Aswap Lake! Please be sure to call our toll free number or email any time to book a spot for your group in 2016!
