July 24, 2011: The weather has settled down again and it looks like we’re going to have a great week for fishing! Not too hot or windy and we’ve had more than our share of hot weather this season. There’s been a fair bit of rain lately so the forest fires in the area do not seem to be an issue any more.
More trophy Lake Trout and Pike over the past 2 weeks as well as some big Brook Trout at the fly out! We’ve been catching a lot of 24 to 26 inch Walleye but the ones over 28 inches have been a bit scarce lately. With really good Pike and Lake Trout fishing, most guys have been spending their time chasing the bigger species lately.
