August 28th, 2008: We finished off the lodge season in style!! A 40 inch Lake Trout and a 47 inch Northern Pike were caught during our last week!!! The outposts will still be running for a couple more weeks and then the hunters will come in towards the end of September. The weather has been nice this week but last week it was very windy and there were a couple nasty storms that swamped boats and the float plane. The plane will be back in service within a week, but in the meantime we’re chartering a Beaver to move our guests to the outposts.
I wish I had more pictures but I’m waiting on some to come in from guests who don’t have digital, especially the 40 inch Lake Trout!
